Training Overview

The Training of Trainers (ToT) is intended to engage teacher trainers in coaching new trainers. ToT will help faculty members and academics to pass on the knowledge to their peer teachers and build a pool of competent instructors who can then conduct the training themselves.
In TOT, academics will learn how to apply new practices, from the heart of the Canadian industry, in delivering training based on the latest trends. The TOT delivers proven skills to promote learner engagement, reflective practice, critical thinking, and skill acquisition. Academics will learn how to use appropriate levels of intervention when managing difficult training situations, including disruptive learner behaviours and initiate a personal plan of action to strengthen their training and facilitation skills.
