The Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) Certificate program Overview

The ISW is designed to enhance the teaching efficiency of both new and experienced educators and is offered within a small group setting of 4-6 participants and across the time spam of a 3-4 full day workshops.

The program involves hand-on experience and is based on an experiential learning approach, where participants are provided with information on the theory and practice of teaching adult learners, the selection and writing of useful learning objectives with accompanying lesson plans, techniques for prompting learner participation, and suggestions for evaluation of learning.

The workshop enhances the process of reflecting on and analyzing teaching practices, with a primary focus on providing feedback that centers around the learning process rather than the specific lesson’s content. The valuable feedback skills acquired during the workshop benefit both the educators in their classroom interactions and the professional in their institutional or business responsibilities.

The Instructional Skills Workshop is a comprehensive development program for educators designed in Canada and offered worldwide. Facilitated by Professor Hiba Kassab and Dr. Rania Al-Hammoud, who are certified ISW & FDW facilitators.

Its graduates earn the internationally recognized ISW Certificate.
