FDW CERTIFIED TRAINING FOR ACADEMICS & TRAINERS

v  Certified by The ISW Network

The Facilitator Development Workshop (FDW) Certificate program Overview

The Facilitator Development Workshop (FDW) is an intensive 5 days workshop that prepares participants to deliver the ISW (Instructional Skills Workshop) to others. The activities of the ISW form the heart of the FDW as participants develop new knowledge, refine their teaching techniques through the mini-lessons, guided practice and feedback, and develop strategies for facilitating the group process.
The FDW is a peer-based model providing participants a challenging and supportive small group setting in which to work on their facilitation skills.
Some chairpersons participate in the FDW to enhance their competence in providing constructive feedback for their teaching colleagues. The FDW provides an opportunity for individuals to concentrate on their own professional development in a challenging supportive atmosphere. Participants can become part of a larger instructional development network.

The Facilitator Development Workshop FDW is a comprehensive development program for educators designed in Canada and offered worldwide. Facilitated by Professor Hiba Kassab and Dr. Rania Al-Hammoud, who are a certified ISW & FDW facilitators.
Its graduates earn the internationally recognized ISW Certificate.
